How does green light therapy work?
LUNO Vision uses the green light band (520–535 nm).
To the extent they are termed neuroactive, they cause effects on retinal sockets called ipRGCs( intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells).
These cells act as a switch between the eyes and the brain, transmitting light signals to the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), the clocks of intelligent, consistent circadian rhythms.

The three phases of LUNO Vision operation
- Reception
Photoreceptors ipRGCs solution for the 520–535 nm band.
This is another type of cell that has a direct connection to the brain.
- Transmission
The light signal reaches the SCN nucleus – the “universal clock” in the hypothalamus.
Here the light changes in chemical information: when it is day and when it is night.
- Putting on
The SCN sends an impulse to the pineal gland (melatonin) and the adrenal glands (cortisol),
restoring harmony between concentration and peace.
